A very brief, and not at all tampered with Island History:

"The History of Dream Island, as dictated by Ruling Queen Akane":

The Island of Dream was first discovered by the Felinorn family, dating back hundreds of thousands of years. With the tireless efforts of our cosmic family and those who supported our family's vision, we have reshaped the land and its people into a more idealistic and peaceful society, where all individuals are benefitted. Any information you may hear about Auspice or "Martyr Kiyo" that is not published and or taught by those in support of our prosperous people, are to be reported at once for dissension."

Dream Island Culture:
Bright, vibrant, and diversified!

The Island stems from heavy East Asian and Central European Influences. With a variety of local cuisines, festivals, and cultural centers that exist around the Island, you’re sure to get a unique perspective that offers their own version of Subtropical paradise! Be sure to check out each region’s section for their local events list.

Languages Spoken Across the Island:

There are four officially recognized languages on Dream Island: English, German (Deutsche), Japanese (日本語), and Korean (한국인).
(But many other languages tend to pop up here and there for various reasons)

English is most commonly used across the Island.

Spirituality Styles Across the Island

Auspice Magic (Auspician):

The original metaphysical and spiritual system that most Islanders practiced before the occupation of the Felinorn Royal Family, Auspicians are said to have had a reputation as highly spiritual, yet fearless warriors. Little is currently known about the magical system other than the users are born into it, display a physical sign of ther familial descendance (also known as the "Heart Ear" shapes or "Heart" markations) and said markations are believed to allow them to have extra-sensory abilities. Unfortunately, due to the "mysterious Abyss Portal incident" that wiped Auspice out 30+ years ago (and most of it's inhabitants, causing many to disperse across the island as refugees.) many have lost ties to their original roots, and have suffered amnesia from the trauma of the sudden attack. Most users are of the “Anomera/Anomaly” Class.

Labradorite ("Old Clover-Town") Magic:

With a long line of blood rituals having since soured their image with the rest of the Islanders, they now practice a derivative of Germanic Paganism with their own strange flair. Very secretive of their practices, and all of the Coven members are women. The only time they allow the general public to feel welcome in their practices is during the Lunar Protection Rituals they perform to keep their portion of the Island safe from the threats that lie inside (or just right outside) the Abyss Portal.

Nerine Hills (Kiyo-Style):

The shinto-based ritual system mainly taught by Kiyo and her accompanying priestesses, then passed down and translated into modern settings with a result in Kiyo not only becoming a deified figure, but also the shift into a heavier focus on spiritual purification, performing defensive magic, and some specializing in fertility rituals and midwifery.

"Socially Accepted Magic” (City Magic):

Can range from modern day Glamour magic to Black Magick. These styles are illegally (and mostly incorrectly) taught in urban areas across the island. Most are folk magic invented by groups or individuals looking to gain a following who see themselves as spiritually inclined, but most are either delusional or are just there to scam and grift. This form of magic always causes damage to the user due to the "NET" system (“negative energy transferal") used as currency by the entities who are channeled for assistance, so an abundance of caution must be exercised if engaging.

What are energy Transferral Systems?

Good question! They are how energy is transferred between two parties (or more) during a magical or energetic act. Whether that is good or bad, is the intention behind the action, but even then, it's not always perfect! Energy exchange is transactional. Here are the different types:

EEX (Equal Energy Exchange):

An energetic exchange between two parties that is mutual, consenting, and fair. Both parties receive equal energetic amounts of the exchange, or what has been agreed upon prior. (Metaphysical/Physical/Emotional/etc)

PEX (Positive Energy Exchange):

Either paid for or gifted services of a positive energetic nature without the expectation of return, random acts of kindness, “good karma”, etc

NET (Negative Energy Transferal):

Exactly what it sounds like, a transfer of negative energy from one individual to another via energetic/magical/ or …other means. Comes with a great cost to user.
